Nicolasa's obituary

Nicolasa Menendez De Mas, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 3, 1940, in Vega Alta, Cuba, And spent her younger years in Santa Clara, Cuba. 

In 1959, Nicolasa married the love of her life, Jose Luis Mas, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion, strength, and family. In 1970, she moved to the United States, where she built a life grounded in hard work, faith, and an unwavering love for those closest to her.

Nicolasa worked for American Airlines and later in the manufacturing of medical equipment, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of her career, she found great joy in her crafts, her church, and most of all, her family. She was a loving and gentle soul who cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juana Maria Castro and Gerardo Menendez; her beloved husband, Jose Luis Mas; her sister, Raquel Gallardo; and her brother, Rene Menendez.

She is survived by her devoted children, Joe Mas and wife Angela Mas, Maria Mas George and husband Sam George; her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Mas Davidson and husband Brad Davidson, Chelsea Mas Tepavac and husband Igor Tepavac, Latricia Coburn and husband Chris Coburn, Karl Nix, David Nix and wife Shanda Nix, Bobby nix Terrance George, James Mas and wife Victoria Mas, as well as many beloved great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Rolando Menendez and Redy Menendez Castro, and numerous friends, nieces and nephews.

Nicolasa will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on through the family she nurtured and the many lives she touched. Her final days, spent surrounded by those who loved her most, were a true reflection of the beautiful life she lived.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Nicolasa Menéndez de Mas, de 86 años, falleció en paz el 15 de marzo de 2026, rodeada del amor de su familia. Nació el 3 de febrero de 1940 en Santa Clara, Cuba.

En 1959, Nicolasa se casó con el amor de su vida, José Luis Mas, comenzando una unión para toda la vida basada en la devoción, la fortaleza y la familia. En 1970, se trasladó a los Estados Unidos, donde construyó una vida basada en el trabajo duro, la fe y un amor inquebrantable por sus seres queridos.

Nicolasa trabajó para American Airlines y más tarde en la fabricación de equipos médicos, donde fue conocida por su dedicación y su fuerte ética de trabajo. Fuera de su carrera, encontraba gran alegría en sus manualidades, su iglesia y, sobre todo, en su familia. Era un alma amorosa y gentil que adoraba profundamente a sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos.

También le sobreviven sus hermanos, Rolando Menéndez y Redy Menéndez Castro, además de numerosos amigos, sobrinas y sobrinos.

Nicolasa será recordada por su calidez, su bondad y su amor incondicional. Su legado vive a través de la familia que formó y de las muchas vidas que tocó. Sus últimos días, rodeada de quienes más la amaban, fueron un fiel reflejo de la hermosa vida que vivió.

Será profundamente extrañada y siempre recordada con amor.
