Nichole's obituary

Nichole was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and soul whose life was marked by deep love, resilience, and an unforgettable spirit.

Raised in the warmth and beauty of Hawaii, she carried that light with her when she moved to Las Vegas in middle school. It was there that she formed friendships that became family. She built connections built on laughter and loyalty that will last a lifetime. She had a rare gift, the ability to walk into a room and instantly make it brighter. Her laugh was contagious, her humor effortless, and being around her felt like home.

In high school, she met Manuel, the man who would become her husband. Their marriage was not easy, it was filled with hardship, imbalance, and heartache, but it was also defined by her unwavering devotion. She loved him deeply and stayed committed through every storm.

She was the proud mother of nine children. Her journey as a mother began with her only daughter, Malia, whom she raised for eight years with fierce love and dedication before welcoming her second child, Manuel Jr. She later endured the unimaginable loss of her third child, Kadence, a sorrow she carried quietly and bravely. She went on to have two more daughters, Haven and Zoei, and although an unfortunate chapter in life led to the loss of parental rights to those four children, her love for them never faded. That chapter was one of the most painful in her life, but it never defined her. Instead, it revealed her capacity to feel deeply, to grieve honestly, and to keep going.

From that heartbreak, she rebuilt. She laid a new foundation and welcomed four more beautiful children into her life. Destiny, Kai, Paisley, and Raiden. These children were her purpose, her pride, and her daily joy. She cared for them with everything she had until the very end, proving that love can rise again even after profound loss.

On December 10, 2025, after nearly three years of fighting a rare form of breast cancer, she passed away. Even in illness, she never stopped being a mother or a grandmother. She showed up even when tired or hurting but was always brave. Because that’s just who she was. She was especially proud to be a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Mathew Jr. and Eliana, through her daughter Malia. That pride shone in her eyes every time she spoke of them.

In her final moments, she was not alone. Her daughter Malia was by her side, just as she had been at the beginning of her journey as a mother and daughter, bound by love that never wavered.

Her life was not perfect, but it was meaningful. It was filled with laughter and loss, devotion and disappointment, strength and softness. Most of all, it was filled with love, given freely, even when it cost her everything.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
