Nic's obituary

Nicolas, known as "Nic," is survived by his father, Duane Shayko of Parma, Ohio; his brothers, Andrew (Kelsea) Shayko and Greg (Erin) Shayko; his nephew, Holden Shayko; and his grandfather, Richard Yates.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Shayko.

Nic was born on May 2, 1985 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He graduated from James Ford Rhodes in 2002 and went on to attend Rochester Institute of Technology where he earned his bachelor's degree in statistics.

Nic was an avid pinball player and a passionate sports fan, especially devoted to the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He was also a music enthusiast, a bird watcher, a photography enthusiast, and loved playing board games.

He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. In honor of his memory, a Celebration of Life will be hosted on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Gateway Church Old Brooklyn, located at 4542 Pearl Rd., Cleveland, OH 44109. A short service will take place from 11 – 11:30 a.m., followed by a reception at the church until 1:00 p.m.
