Nia Bussey, born on May 17, 1990, left us too soon, passing away on July 12, 2025. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2022, Nia had a unique knack for connecting with people through literature, often using it as a medium to express her feelings and draw deeper interpretations of life. In 2019, she married Jeff Hubbard, her partner in love and life, who shared her passion for exploration, adventure, and of course, their mutual love for the Philadelphia Eagles.

As a connoisseur of cinema, Nia's favorite movies showcased her eclectic taste - her fondness for animation coming to life with movies like Finding Nemo and Big Hero 6, while her love for thrill and suspense was mirrored in Hereditary and the Scream franchise. She was also an avid traveler and enjoyed immersing herself in the diverse cultures of her favorite vacation spots - Hawai'i, Europe, and Japan.

Throughout her life, Nia shared many wisdom-filled words, but her favorite lesson, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes," was a testament to her belief in reaping the outcomes of one's choices. From landing a big fish every fishing trip to facing life's challenges with unwavering bravery, strength, and determination, she lived by example, teaching us through her actions.

Nia has left behind a legacy that will resonate with all who knew her, a legacy of courage and ambition that was both inspiring and motivational. We remember Nia not for the brevity of her life, but for the intensity with which she lived it, forever leaving a profound impact on us all.
