Ngo's obituary
At 96 years of age, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Teacher, Sư Cô Thích Nữ Trí Thuần, transitioned peacefully. Her life was a rare and beautiful tapestry woven from two worlds: the dedicated heart of a mother who raised six children, and the serene soul of a Buddhist nun who dedicated her later years to prayer and service.
Born in the year of the Horse (1930), she lived through nearly a century of history, eventually making her home in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her journey was defined by resilience, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her family and her faith.
To us, she was the root of our family tree. She leaves behind a vibrant legacy through her six children and thirteen grandchildren, who carry her spirit across the globe from California to Australia.
Her Children:
The Daughters: Nghiêm, Hiếu, and Nga — who carry her grace and strength.
The Sons: Nghĩa, Trung, and Chánh — who carry her wisdom and integrity.
Her Grandchildren: Thirteen grandchildren grow today in the light of her prayers, forever guided by the lessons of compassion and "Hiếu Thảo" (filial piety) she embodied every day.
Nguyện cầu Hương Linh Sư Cô Thích Nữ Trí Thuần Cao Đăng Phật Quốc. (May her soul ascend to the Buddha’s Land.)
