Nghiem's obituary

   It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather NGHIEM VAN LE at 2:30 PM on Thursday January 22, 2026 which falls on the 4th day of the 12th month of lunar year 2025. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved wife, DENISE NGOCDIEP and loving children plus doted grandchildren.

NGHIEM was born on September 1, 1932 in the ancient royal city of Hue, Vietnam. He grew up being the loving son of father LE VAN DUNG and mother TRUONG THI LAI.

After finishing high school in Hue, NGHIEM pursued his successful military career. He graduated from Thu Duc Military Academy. His brief time in the military was then parlayed into an outstanding high ranking civil service. He was the Director of the Ethnic Development Department of both provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.

In 1961, he married his beautiful wife, DENISE NGOCDIEP LE and together they had seven beautiful and talented children.

In 1990, NGHIEM and his family immigrated to the US and finally settled in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

NGHIEM was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was his main joys and pride. He is particularly proud of being the husband and father to his wife and children, respectively.

NGHIEM is survived by his loving wife DENISE NGOCDIEP LE, his children Kim Quy Le, Thu Trang Chang and her husband Tam Chang, Ngoc Trang Alfonso and her husband Richard Alfonso , Duy Quang Le and his wife Sonia Le, My Trang Le and her husband Tony Nguyen, Van Quang Le, Phong Quang Le and his wife Jill Le; 15 doted grandchildren Long, ThanhAn, ThanhNhan, Hieu, Nghia, Bryant, Eric, Christopher, Nicholas, Hannah, Charlotte, Helena, Corrine, Chloe and Zoey and 10 great grandchildren. NGHIEM also left behind his 2 brothers NGHI VAN LE, CHINH VAN LE and one sister TAM THI LE and their families.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Short & Rowe Funeral Home at 95 West Main Street, Marlborough MA 01752.
