It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nezlee Lynn Blaylock Pillow. Nezlee, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, was born on September 29, 1958, and departed from us on August 9, 2023.

Nezlee leaves behind a loving family to remember and continue her legacy. She is survived by her daughter, Jaime Newman and her husband, Spence, and grandchildren, Hunter Dameron and Teagan Newman, who brought infinite joy to her life. She also leaves behind her sisters, Vera Howell, Darlene Roberts, and Sandra (Harold) Gillis. Her memory will also be cherished by her nieces, Sherril (Jeff) Huntington and Mickie (Rick) Bassett, and nephew, Michael Gillis.

Nezlee is reunited in death with her Father, Leroy James Blaylock, and her Mother, Janie Inez Clayton Blaylock, who preceded her in passing.

A woman of many interests, Nezlee had a deep appreciation for Stephen King novels, country music, particularly the tunes of Chris Stapleton and Conway Twitty, and television shows like The Walking Dead, Yellowstone and Survivor. She cherished science fiction, fantasy, and western movies. A lover of the outdoors, Nezlee relished time spent fishing, riding horses, running the roads with Dorite, taking care of animals and found comfort and joy in reading.

Known for her warm, polite, and friendly personality, Nezlee graced the lives of many with her charm and charisma. She was a woman of notable achievements, having graduated from Clayton State with a degree in accounting and worked with animals for over 30 years - a testament to her compassionate nature. Yet, among her greatest accomplishments, Nezlee treasured most becoming a mother and grandmother.

Those who knew Nezlee well will miss her dearly, but her spirit continues to live on through the loved ones she has left behind and through the memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
