Neva's obituary
Neva BonHomme, passed away recently, leaving a void in the hearts of those she loved and interacted with. Born on October 13, 1956, Her departure from this mortal plane leaves us heavy-hearted, but grateful to have been a part of her magnificent journey.
Neva was native of Santa Rosa county graduating from Chumuckla High School. After attending Bob Jones University for two years she moved to Shreveport Louisiana where she met her husband Rikk. Returning to Florida she worked at Home Depot until she retired. She will be remembered not only for her nurturing nature but also for her tenacity and resilience that inspired many around her.
Her loss is mourned by her extended family: daughters Rachel Anthony and Kristin Thompson; grandchildren Michael Blankenship (wife Molly), Marissa Gortney (husband Rusty), Maisie Adkison, Ashlynn Starks, and Shyan BonHomme; great grandchildren Declan Adkison and Parker Gortney; sisters Tressie Speda, Lanell Hartley, Dana Robinett and Rita Hernandez (husband Fred); brothers Harold Robinett, Jr (wife Diane) and Douglas Robinett (wife Isabelle); aunts Gloria Cahill (husband Larry) and Wanda Player; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Neva is preceded in death by her husband Rikk BonHoomme, sister Marydell Grubb; brothers Tommy Robinett and Daniel Robinett; parents Harold and Ellen Robinett, Sr.
Neva's absence will be felt deeply, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. As we remember Neva, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul profoundly loved. Her memory will continue to inspire us, encouraging us to live our lives with kindness, courage, and unbridled joy.
