It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nemer Baki, who left us on April 11, 2024. Born in 1978, Nemer lived a life filled with passion, joy, and ceaseless perseverance. He is deeply missed by his loving wife Jennifer Abdulbaki, whom he married in the year 2000, and a large community of friends and family.

Nemer was an accomplished lawyer, having graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School, South Capitol Avenue, Lansing, MI in 2015. His dedication to his studies was truly admirable – he successfully passed the bar on the first attempt, a feat that spoke volumes about his tenacity.

A true Renaissance man, Nemer's interests ranged widely from literature to music, television, and sports. He particularly loved the Harry Potter series and any books by John Grisham. Elvis, Fares Karam, George Wassuf, Dean Martin, Ed Sheeran, and Adele were some of his favorite musicians. A fan of wit and humor, he enjoyed watching The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. He was also a resolute supporter of the Detroit Redwings, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and the University of Michigan.

Nemer's vibrancy was not restricted to his personal interests. He was a fervent supporter of causes such as the World Wild Life Fund, ACLU, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Doctors Without Borders. His caring nature was evident in his actions and the causes he championed.

With a personality best described as witty, humorous, and hardworking, Nemer never failed to light up a room. His favorite color was red – a hue that mirrored his lively spirit. He always looked forward to performances like Hamilton and The Lion King, and loved vacationing at Disney and Niagara Falls. Nemer cherished his local community and took great delight in visiting the zoo.

The best lessons Nemer had to share included the importance of perseverance, a virtue he exemplified in his everyday life. He will always be remembered as a man of intellect, heart, and unyielding determination.

Join us for a celebration of Nemer's vibrant life on May 11, 2024, at 12:00 -  4:00 PM at 4230 Dell Rd. Let us gather, share our favorite memories, and honor the incredible legacy he leaves behind.  Feel free to come and stay for as little or as long as you like, and wear your favorite sports team.
