Dearest Chandan, Shiuli and Deepa, my heart is absolutely broken. I’m in shock. This doesn’t seem real. I still see her as the most adorable little girl playing in our university apartments. She was so loved and lived a life knowing she was deeply loved. Claire and I send you all the warmest love and strength and we are here if there is anything we can do for you. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Shiuli and Chandon, and Deepa, my heart is broken for you. We used to love it when Neepa would come to our house and play with our daughter Maddy. They were the best of friends and had many happy times together as little girls.
This from Mike Pritchard and Mary Pritchard. With much love and a broken heart—Mike.

I have known Neepa since my childhood, she was my classmate and part of our Bengali community. She was in my 10th grade AP Chemistry class and that is when her and I got to know each other more. We quickly became friends and she always helped me overcome my shortcomings in chemistry by guiding me through concepts. When I wanted to learn more about law school and the application process, Neepa and I had a long conversation over the phone, after many years of not being in contact with each other, and she was the same as always - ready to give advice and help to a friend in need. To say that I am shaken by this immense loss is an understatement. Neepa was kind, caring, incredibly smart and hardworking, and I cannot imagine the pain and grief that her family and loved ones are feeling right now. May God grant ease to those who loved Neepa dearly.

Neepa and I met at work and we instantly became work besties. We went and painted pottery together and occasionally got drinks or dinner. I would find tiramisu desserts around Omaha and bring it to her office because that was her favorite. We would rate which was the best one. We chatted for hours during the workdays and she was always wearing her signature perfume Carolina Herrera's "Very Good Girl." When I graduated law school, she came to my grad party with flowers and gifts. She was always so open and generous. She was always down to vent and laugh. When she left to go to Florida, I was devastated because I truly never met a friend like her. I cannot believe this is real life. I miss you, Neepa. Fly high wherever you are.

I’m Lisa Johnson’s sister and had the pleasure of getting to know Neepa during her high school years. She was such a beacon of light, filled with a fun-loving spirit and positive energy. I cannot fathom the loss you feel, but please know that I share your feelings and feel privileged to have known Neepa briefly.

Please tell me and my mom if there's ever anything we can do to support you, or just listen and be there to exist with you. I promise to think about Neepa all the time. I'm so grateful for every moment I spent with her, and your entire family, throughout my life.

Neepa's family,
I cannot make it to the memorial because I won't be visiting home at that time. But I have known Neepa since childhood and have fond memories of her. Neepa was very driven and hardworking.
I wish her family patience through this hard time and if I can offer any support please do reach out.

Neepa and Elle were best friends, particularly during their high school years. Neepa was like another daughter to us. She was there for Christmas, many trips to our families cottage in WI, swim team, and just hanging at our house. Neepa was Elle’s makeup artist for Prom, our photographer for all 3 of our kids high school graduation pictures, and part of our family. We are so grateful for the time we had with her and devastated at her loss.
