Nathaniel "Nate" Torrey Toth, 43, passed away on January 30, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, South Carolina. Nate suffered from a condition involving his esophagus. He fought gallantly but succumbed to the disease.  

Nate is survived by his loving daughter, Nyla. 

Nate was a man whose love and light brightened the lives of everyone he touched. Above all, Nate was a devoted father, and there was nothing in this world that mattered more to him than his daughter. His face would instantly light up when she entered the room, a reflection of the deep, unwavering bond they shared.

As a father, Nate was nothing short of extraordinary. He reveled in every moment spent with her, whether it was playing, laughing, or simply being together. He embraced the role of "fun daddy" wholeheartedly, always ready to create new adventures, offer a playful joke or trick, or lend an ear to the endless stories that came from her imagination. Nate also welcomed all her friends with open arms, eager to make them feel as special as she did, always showing kindness, warmth, and a playful spirit.

His love for his daughter was not just seen in the big moments but also in the quiet, everyday interactions that spoke volumes of his devotion. Whether it was sharing a meal, helping with learning, or offering a comforting hug, Nate’s love was constant and deep.

The way he made people feel was a testament to his character—kind, caring, and full of joy. His laughter and positive energy left a mark on everyone who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the love he gave and the memories he created, especially with his beloved daughter.

Nate may no longer walk among us, but his love, his spirit, and his light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. We will carry him with us always, remembering the fun, the laughter, and the deep, unconditional love that defined his life.
