Nate's obituary

Nathaniel (Nate) Moreau Roseboom passed away September 29 after 38 years on this earth, taking his unique outlook and inimitable style with him on his journey to the world beyond. He will be deeply missed.

Nate was born in 1984 in Jamaica Plain, MA to Dave Roseboom and Paula Moreau, growing up in Boston but traveling far and wide while still young. He found his skillset early in an ability to relate to all different types of people, and followed that path in many directions throughout his life, developing an enterprising and inventive style that he learned could open doors and bridge long distances. Nate was a talented and award-winning salesperson in a variety of fields.

Nate met and formed a special bond and family with his wife Jessie and sons Noah and Ezra, and helped make a good and supportive life for them in Princeton Junction, NJ. He traveled worldwide, always searching and learning with the same can-do attitude, curiosity and joy that became his trademarks. There were peaks and valleys along the way, and he learned that the friendships he made could be a counterbalance to hardship.

Nate always wanted to look up and reach beyond the obvious, learning to sharpen the wonder of his childhood years into an adult’s understanding. He was fascinated by the connections between things seen and unseen, finding interests in everything from a love of music to astronomy and cosmology to hidden relationships in nature and botanical symbiosis. He could equally be found in deep and animated conversation on an amazing range of topics, or simply gazing up into the night sky, speculating on its celestial sights and stardust mysteries.

Nate's surviving family members include his wife and children, his parents, his sister and brother Danielle and Mark, his in-laws Tarik and Kara, and his niece and nephew Izzy and Jack, all of whom will continue to celebrate his life and cherish his memory. A memorial service will be held in Edgewater, NJ with a private burial service at Forest Hills, Boston, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nate's name to Place of Promise (placeofpromise.org) or Rescue Mission of Trenton (rescuemissionoftrenton.org)
