Nate's obituary
Nathaniel "Nate" Moore, 55, of Vallejo passed away suddenly on April 5, 2022. Nate grew up in Nelson British Columbia and came to Vallejo later in life, where he loved the diversity and warm weather.
Friends can recall, him often talking about going to BC just to spend time on the river banks and mountains where he would go fishing and hiking.
At heart, Nate was a jack of all trades with a magnificent talent for refurbishing furniture, notably antiques.
In fact, it was Nate's skillful hands and keen eye for details that brought many of the timeless treasures found at Yesteryear's Marketplace in Vallejo to life again. From antique hall trees and dressers to mid century desk with wobbly legs, if it needed to be polished, glued, and sawed, Nate was the guy to make it happen.
Making it happen was more than just words to Nate. He loved when "Bob and Margie" from Yesteryear Marketplace asked him to make a faded dining set shimmer beneath a chandelier. When he was done rubbing and waxing, the fruit of his labor was his blessing, even more than the monies he earned.
Seeing Nate was also seeing his dog, a trusted and obvious friend. As we all mourn Nate's passing let our prayers of peace include his dog, who certainly misses him as much we do.
Nate was an UN-bridled workhorse and surprisingly, he lent his carpentry skills to assisting Hollywood movie studios when filming locally, a show biz opportunity that he never bragged about.
He was a friend to many, and always willing to lend his "muscle" to help carry a load or build on a project.
As a son, he was close to his mom who preceded him in death. Nate rarely if at all would share his own sorrows in this life. He always had a joke to share, and will be incredibly missed and remembered.
We are requesting Nate's loved ones to join us in celebration of life in front of Yesteryear's Marketplace 433 Georgia St, Vallejo, CA 94590 on April 30th 2022 at 10 am.
This event will take place during Saturdays Farmers Market.
