Nathaniel's obituary

Nathaniel "Chef Nate" Burnett, 63, Anderson, died May 5, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Nathaniel was born March 14, 1954, to Nathaniel Pete Burnett and Dorothy Louise Burnett.

He retired as a foreman from Anderson City Parks Department and a United State Navy veteran. Nathaniel loved cooking and giving back to his community. He enjoyed being around his family and friends; and making people laugh with stories.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memories, son, Nathaniel Eugene Burnett Jr., and Chris Agee, all of Anderson; daughters, MarquaiNat'e Boards of Jacksonville, Florida, and Natalie Louise Burnett of Broken arrow, Oklahoma; sisters, Johnnie Mae (James) Robinson of Montgomery, Alabama, Janie (the Rev. Roosevelt) Boyd of Anderson, Joann Burnett, Geraldine (James) Jackson both of Indianapolis, Beverly Burnett of Anderson, and Jennifer Burnett of Detroit, Michigan; brother, Norman James Robinson of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Monday at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., Anderson.

Visitation will be Monday at 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
