Nathan's obituary
Nathan McNabb, 26, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025. Born on January 31, 1999, Nathan lived a full and joyful life, making the most of every moment and finding light even through challenges.
Nathan was the kind of person who could light up any room with his infectious humor and quick wit. He was funny in the best way—always ready with a joke or a playful tease that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. But what truly defined Nathan was his warmth: he loved hugging people, offering big, genuine embraces that made you feel seen and cared for, no matter the occasion.
His love for his family and friends was boundless and unconditional. Nathan cherished time with his loved ones above all else. He had a special bond with his brothers, spending countless hours battling it out in intense video game sessions, trash-talking and laughing late into the night. Those gaming marathons were legendary, filled with competition, camaraderie, and pure joy.
Nathan was passionate about basketball, enjoying pickup games with friends and cheering on his favorite teams. He also had a deep love for music, finding solace and excitement in its rhythms—whether blasting his favorites during a drive or discovering new tracks to share with those around him.
Nathan’s sweet nature tied it all together; he was kind-hearted, thoughtful, and always there with a listening ear or a helping hand.
Above all, Nathan loved the Lord with all his heart. His faith brought him peace, and now comforts us in knowing he is home in heaven, wrapped in eternal love and free from pain.
Nathan is survived by his loving parents, Jeremy McNabb and Ria-Anne Galin McNabb and Heidi Medrow and Jason Clem; siblings , Ian, Boston (Kellen), Tyler, Caleb, Evan and Cruz; grandparents Paul and Demaris McNabb and Patrick and Karen Kelly; nephews, Kasen and Hayes and niece, Tatum; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were like family to him.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James and Linda Galin.
Though taken from us far too soon, Nathan’s spirit—his hugs, his laughter, his love—will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 1:00pm at Gospel Grace Church (1903 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover the expenses of laying Nathan to rest.
Nathan, you hugged your way into our lives—now you’re hugging us from heaven. Rest in eternal peace.
