Some of my most memorable times were when I visited Nathalie and Bob in LBK. Nathalie always went out of her way to find fun things to do - bike rides thru the neighborhoods, shopping sprees to all the best places, theater and lecture series, turtle walks on the beach. Each visit included meals with friends and family and a new adventure each time. While she had a sister she loved dearly, she was the sister I never had- a confidante, a calm voice of reason when I needed it most. She and I took trips together, we laughed at the craziest things, She will always have a special place in my heart.

Natalie and I are sand sisters.
The reason I say that we are is because Bob and my husband left us on a sand bar to sun ourselves… while they went fishing.
We had coolers and food and the dog Moses . The dog went out after a seal nearly drowned a boater came along and pulled him from the sea . After a long while The tide came in and it was getting late the sand bar was going away .. our cooler was floating . We were clutching our towels and the dog finally Bob and Jeff came back they could not find their way back in through the channels in the Atlantic because it is ever changing beach left. The water was freezing. There were sharks in the water and seals. We would not have been able to swim through the water to safely from that day on we always referred to Each other as
“sand sisters.”

Sending my deepest condolences to Shawn, Laura and family. Your mom raised some really amazing women. I am sure she was very proud of both of you.
