It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that Nannette Lorraine Lang-Nolte (Zielske) passed away on Sunday January 26, 2025 in St Paul, MN.

Nan was born to Arden and Mary (Loomer) Zielske on August 21, 1956 in Estherville, Iowa. She graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1974. Nan married her first husband David Lang in 1976. She married her current husband Peter Nolte in 2004. Peter and Nan lived in Trimont, MN (Nan for about 18-20 years) before moving up to the Stillwater, MN area the last fifteen years or so. 

Nan worked primarily as an in home daycare owner as well as a preschool and care club "teacher" throughout her life. She loved kids. She had her first child, Nathan Lang, in 1979 and her second child, Nicole Wilson in 1985. Her life was filled with joy and happiness surrounding her family. She became a Nana to Corgan in 2008, Ardyn in 2009, Avery in 2013 and Hannah in 2016. Nan would do anything and everything she could to see and hang out with her children and grandchildren. She was the absolute best Nana. Anyone that knew her, knew that her family was her whole world. 

Nan had a lot of passion for different things. First and foremost being succulents. She had an entire bedroom devoted to her collection and kept a Christmas cactus alive that has been in the family since her Grandma Zielske owned it (45 ish years). She also took up going to see Broadway shows with her daughter and enjoyed all the music that came with it. Her recent favorite was seeing The Lion King. She also used to volunteer in her church with children's programs and Sunday School.

Another of Nan's passions was the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mainly football but she also followed and loved men's and women's basketball. She was also an avid book reader and cross stitcher. Throughout her life she was also a CNA, licensed massage therapist and took many different classes related to child care.

Nan was preceded in death by her parents, Arden and Mary Zielske, her first husband David Lang as well multiple extended family members.

Nan is survived by her husband Peter, her children Nathan (Amber) Lang of Comfrey, MN, Nicole (Chris) Wilson of Apple Valley, MN, all of her grandchildren, her brother Duey (Regena) Zielske and sister Pamela (Mark) Zielske-Stavrum.
