Nanette's obituary
Pawtucket RI – Nanette (Cyr) Gundersen passed away surrounded by family after a battle with Glioblastoma on March 26th, 2026. She was 61 years old and she was a fighter.
She grew up in Oxford MA, and was raised by amazing parents, her Father Raymond “Ray” Cyr who predeceased her in 1993 and her mother Dorothy Ann “Ann” (Tavernier) Caplette of Oxford MA. She leaves her Daughter Amanda Jastrzebski of Easthampton as well as her sister Renee Wheeler and her husband Kevin of Webster, her stepfather Arnold Caplette of Oxford, and three stepsisters, Pamela Spaulding, Cynthia Osowski and Sandra Spinger as well as many nieces and a nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the physicians, surgeons, nurses and staff of Providence Hospital and Advinia Care of Pawtucket for their care and support in this battle.
She LOVED her life. One of her favorite things to do was sit on the beach and enjoy the sun from dawn to dusk, this is where she found her peace. Her love of animals was wholehearted, and she would go out of her way for even the smallest of creatures. The love of her life was her daughter with whom a piece of her life lives on. We hope that she will be remembered, with laughter and love and when you dance and no one is watching….
A private burial will be scheduled at a later date. In leu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to Dog Orphans animal shelter of Douglas Ma
