It’s hard to find the right words to express how much Nan meant to me. She was not just a leader, but a mentor and a friend. Her passion for her work and her unwavering commitment to those around her made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
I was so fortunate to have Nan in my life. She had a unique ability to bring out the best in people. Her positive influence will remain with me always.
My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Nan was such an elegant, wise and gentle woman. I am so fortunate to have seen her just over a year ago - after almost 30 years. It was just like old times. I will cherish that memory.

Nan was 35 years old when I joined CBS Records at the age of 22. I had never worked in an office before, had only rudimentary typing skills, and felt so out of place and nervous. Nan was wise with experience, but also fundamentally kind, and she took me under her wing. She taught me what "cc" and "bcc" meant, helped me solve Telex machine problems, and talked me down off the ceiling when the mainframe computer (sitting on a little desk near her cubicle) lost my work. (Speaking of that ceiling, I think it was Nan that helped me retrieve my navy blue high-heeled shoe from it, too. The heel got stuck in the soft ceiling tile, directly over that same mainframe computer. After that, I knew that when I was frustrated, I should make sure that I had a strap on my shoes before kicking so hard.)
If you ever have as good a friend as Nan was to me in those years, consider yourself blessed. Making her laugh was so rewarding. Watching her jive with her sister Meg was a dream. Sharing a cabin with her at Wig A Mog was hilarious. She never made me feel stupid (or too young), she always made me feel heard, she never judged.
It has been one of my life's regrets that our friendship faded as I got immersed in new roles and challenges and eventually left CBS. There was a reunion recently that I could not attend, and the pictures of her there made me vow to reach out... just to make sure she knew what she had meant to me. It breaks my heart that I waited too long.
Nan, thank you for being there for me when I needed you most. I will never forget you.
Much love to Meg and all of Nan's family,
Val Lapp xo

Always, with a smile and a laugh....an extraordinary lady who had to leave us way too soon.

Nan was such a warm and positive part of my years at Sony Music, and her ability to wear heels at all times was impressive - legendary! I am fortunate to have known her and wish nothing but strength and love to all her family and friends.

I was very fortunate to work with Nan for almost 15 years while at Sony Music. A truly special and wonderfully warm individual, Nan was always helpful, kind and had a smile on her face regardless of how busy things got. While her loss is a painful one, the fond memories and good times we've shared with her, will be with all of us, always. My condolences to her family during an incredibly difficult time.

I can honestly state that in all my years of working with Nan at CBS/Sony I never heard anyone say anything negative about her. Nan was a caring, loving and beautiful person both inside and out. We remained in touch throughout my retirement years including time together when she visited her sister Meg here in Brighton. Nan will be missed by her many friends in addition to the deep loss to her loving family.

Such a lovely person, Nan exuded love to all around her. She warmed a room when she entered and all had their moods elevated by her presence. I'm thinking of the great loss her family must be feeling now and grateful that I got to know her these many years.
