Nancy's obituary

My momma, Nancy (Singleton)Taylor died Saturday, September 16, 2023. She was 68 years old. She had been on Hospice care but, still, it was too soon.

Momma was born on August 6, 2023 in Evansville, Indiana. Her daddy was Parvin Singleton and her Momma was Betty (Macklin) Singleton and they both preceeded her in death

My momma graduated from Perryville High School in Perryville, Arkansas in 1973 and joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a jet mechanic in Germany and New Mexico at a time when there were very, very few females on the flight line which helped open doors for untold numbers of women seeking to enter the U. S. Military. She then went into the Arkansas Air National Guard and worked in Personel, which gave her the skills that saw her succeed in roles in Administration and Human Resources throughout her life. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Park University, majoring in Social Psychology. During her life, my momma was an Office Manager, a Certified Hypnotherapist,  a Notary Public, and, at one time, was ordained as a minister so she could marry people. During her life, Momma served on the Harris Brake Volunteer Fire Department and served as Commisioner for a time. Before she retired, she worked as a dispatcher and a jailer for the Perry County Sheriff's Department in Perryville.  After retiring, Momma enjoyed spending time with her momma and with her grandsons, her nephew, and other family and friends. She loved her church families from both Harmony and Journey Churches. My momma loved Angels, Star Trek, reading, gardenias and gladiolous, road trips, and the color blue. Momma was the smartest and prettiest person in the world.

She is survived by me, her daughter, Brandy Stone of Perryville and my four sons. James Stone and his partner Raven Turner and their children Zachary, Melodies, Esme, and Benjamin all of Conway, Justin Stone, Jacob Stone, and Jasper Stone, all of Perryville, her sister Saundra Rainey and niece April Lester, both of Little Rock, her brother Ralph Singleton and his wife Vicki and their daughter, Tori all of South Carolina, Tommy Singleton if Little Rock,  her nephew Chad Dixon and his partner, Jose both of Bigelow, her best friend of 52 years, Cheryl Brownfield and her husband, Wayne both of Perryville and a host of cousins and good, good friends.
