Nancy's obituary
Nancy was a dancer, majorette, and creative artist who began painting in her younger years. After graduating high school she owned and operated a boutique dress shop in St. Louis (Lemay), MO. She later moved out west, closer to her brother, Bob, in Seattle, WA, where she worked at the World Expo of 1962, and became a mother of three children. She used her creative gifts as owner and operator of her business, Nancy J. Interiors, located in Fairwood and downtown Renton, WA. Nancy continued to serve many loyal clients from the early 80's through July 2020. She loved gardening and living life to its fullest. She traveled to places such as Tahiti, Mexico, Italy and Spain over the years. Nancy loved laughter and life, living happily independent until mid-August 2020.
Survivors include her three children, Thomas David Sobo and Joni Lynn (Sobo) Des Marias of Washington State, Jeanne Janice (Sobo) Fernandez of Washington State, currently in China, and grandson, Matthew (Mateo) Fernandez of Spain, currently in China.
A private virtual memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 2:30 pm through Zoom conferencing services. For those who are interested in attending and have not yet received an e-invite, please send an email message to jeannejsobo@outlook.com. The family wishes to thank those who have extended emotional support for Nancy during her final days.
