**Ms. Nancy Maria Santiago**

May 21, 1961 – April 20, 2025

Ms. Nancy Maria Santiago passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 63. Born on May 21, 1961, also in the Bronx, Nancy spent her life rooted in the community that shaped her and that she, in turn, touched with her creativity and spirit.

Nancy was a devoted mother to her daughters Letisha Santiago and Kathleen Santiago and to her sons Moises Martinez, Daniel Santiago, Gabriel Martinez, and Emanuel Martinez. She was also a cherished sister to Carmen Santiago and Evelyn Santiago. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment shared with them.

A deeply spiritual person, Nancy lived as a non-denominational Christian with a strong focus on faith and inner peace. Her spirituality guided her through life’s challenges and joys alike, offering strength not only to herself but also to those around her.

Nancy had an extraordinary creative spirit. She found joy in crossword puzzles and knitting, often crafting beautiful pieces with care and precision. Her passion for collectible figurines reflected her appreciation for detail and artistry. Jewelry making allowed her to express herself through wearable art, while coloring books provided a peaceful outlet for her vibrant imagination. Music of many genres filled her home and heart—each melody a reflection of the many layers of her personality. Whether through crafts or song, Nancy had an eye for beauty in all its forms.

She will now be reunited with her father, younger brother, and beloved dog—souls she held dear during her lifetime. Though she is no longer physically present, Nancy’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her family finds comfort knowing that her suffering has ended and that she has passed on to a place of peace.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home located at 2580 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York 10458.
