Personal note

Nancy Sellers Klooz, 63, of Mobile, passed away peacefully in her home on April 9, 2021. She was born in Mobile to Roy Lee Sellers, Jr. and Katherine Elizabeth Sellers on Oct. 7, 1957. She attended Murphy High School, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, and a Master’s degree from the University of South Alabama. She went on to have a career in education as both a teacher and guidance counselor for over 30 years. Nancy was a proud member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants and The Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved art, gardening, and spending time on Mobile Bay.
She is survived by her husband, Donan Klooz of Mobile, her daughters Caroline Kern Strange (Kevin) and Anna Kern Williams (Ryan) and her grand daughter Emily Michelle Strange as well as her sisters Anita Rigas, Cathy O’Neal, and Peggy Sellers Partridge along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Lee Sellers, Jr. and Katherine Elizabeth Sellers.
The family will celebrate Nancy’s life at her favorite place, Buccaneer Yacht Club, where she was a legacy member and shared many happy memories with family and friends. The memorial service will take place at 2:00 on Friday, April 16. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in her honor to the Alabama Chapter of the ALS foundation.
