Nancy's obituary

Nancy Virginia (Stephenson) Hulbert was born June 1939 and passed away on July 6, 2021 at 82 years old. Nancy was born to George W. and Catherine I. (Badgett) Stephenson in St. Louis, Missouri. She spent most of her growing up years in Florissant, MO attending Sacred Heart Catholic School and Ferguson High School.

Nancy married Earl Leo Hulbert on September 15, 1956. They bought a house in the new subdivision of Chatum Village a few years later. It is there they spent many happy years together as they were married for 53 years.

Nancy was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of their 3 children, preparing lunches, and waiting for them as they came home from school. During this time, she took writing classes at Florrisant Valley Community College. Nancy also spent several years, along with her close friend, directing the children’s choir at Parkwood Christian Church. She later decided to go into the workforce and worked at the Bridgeton Trails branch of the St. Louis County Library. She made many friends there and thoroughly enjoyed when she read to the children during story time.

Nancy loved gardening, classical music, and lemons. She also loved Jesus and her faith was strong. She will be missed.
