Nancy Hartlerode, born February 13, 1962, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. Her radiant spirit and heartwarming presence will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her and will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she has left behind. Her laughter, love for life, and kindness indelibly marked everyone she encountered.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hartlerode, who was her rock and partner in all things. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughters, Talia Buttera (Frank) and Dana Austin, whom she deeply loved. She also leaves behind her beloved grandson, Kenneth Crump IV, who was the light of her life and a granddaughter on the way. She was predeceased by her mother, Janet Kitterman, her brother, Timothy Kitterman, and her aunt, Betty Dreyer who will now welcome her to eternal rest.
Nancy's passions extended beyond her beloved family. She had an exceptional love for animals and cherished moments spent with her dog, Duke. Her favorite television shows, The Waltons and Hazel, often accompanied her during quiet evenings at home. Nancy also found joy in the simple sounds of nature, reflected in her beloved collection of wind chimes that she loved to listen to on peaceful afternoons. She also collected nutcrackers and birdhouses, each piece holding a special memory and tale of its own.
Nancy was a woman of great heart and spirit. Her life was a testament to her love for her family, her passion for life's simple moments, and her unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those she left behind. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, her love, and the profound impact she has made on our lives. Her legacy will not be forgotten.
