Nancy's obituary

Nancy Gonzales, a vivacious and beloved woman, was born on the 16th of March, 1961, and unexpectedly passed away on the 17th of November, 2024. Her magnetic persona, speckled with a distinct blend of feistiness, humor, and courage, will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Her loving survivors encompass an extensive family and are testament to the love and legacy she so passionately fostered over her lifetime. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tyron Harris, whom she wed in 2007, marking a beautiful chapter of love and companionship. She leaves behind her doting children, Gabriela Thomas, Tino Villafuerte, and Daniel Villafuerte Jr. Seeing their children grow and thrive was always a joyous sight for Nancy.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Daniel Villafuerte III, Asiayane Villafuerte, Le'Janique Brooks, Serene Hysten, Jadell Brooks, and Yian Herrada. Nancy's joy knew no bounds when she spent time with her grandchildren. Her brother Dave Gonzales,  and her sisters Jody Delacruz,  Christy Acosta, and Mandy Abeyta  also join the chorus of grieving family members.

Nancy was a woman of varied interests and particular tastes. She loved her famous Cannoli's and Diet Coca-Cola. She was an ardent reader, with Stephen King's "The Green Mile" being one of her favorites. Her love for mysteries extended to her viewing preferences, with "Survivor," Stephen King's movies, and "Dances with Wolves" being her top picks. The enigmatic tunes of "Enigma - Return to Innocence" frequently reverberated around her.

Nancy loved Native American Art. She would cheer passionately for the Steelers, honoring her favorite team at every game. "Name That Movie," was a game she enjoyed playing, and fishing and camping were recreational activities she reveled in. Nancy enjoyed music and loved to dance.  Locally, Ocean Palace aka OP's held a special place in her heart. Above all else, her family was the cause she held dear.

Among her greatest accomplishments, she was proud of obtaining an Associate's degree in Computer Science. The hallways of family and friends' memories will always echo with the vibrant and unforgettable parties Nancy hosted. Her legacy is full of love, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Her best-kept wisdom was the knowledge of having thick skin and putting family first.

Nancy's life was a canvas painted in her favorite colors, purple and blue. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, a legacy of love, and a vibrant echo of laughter. As we say our final goodbyes, we remember Nancy Jacqueline Gonzales aka Lady G  aka Wild Flower aka Buffalo Soldier– a woman of strength, love, and immeasurable spirit.
