上星期的這個時候，她只是抱怨胸口有些悶......

然而，僅隔了一個星期我卻坐在電腦前，看著她的相片，敲動著鍵盤，讓銀幕上流出一連串懷念她的文字。

似乎就在不久之前，我們才說著要在八月為她過七十歲的生日，但她卻連六月都沒過完，就決定獨自前去一個傳說中比這裡更好的地方。

四十年前我剛由康州搬到加州來的時候，經常在世界日報上看到紐約人壽的廣告，廣告上有著經紀人的相片，及那位經紀人的名字，熊南屏。因為看到這名字就會想到小時候的一首歌，南屏晚鐘，所以即使我並沒有去買人壽險，卻也將那個名字熟記在心中。

沒想到幾年之後，初中同學李虎竟然將這位紐約人壽的頂級經紀娶了回來，從此「南屏」就不再是那首歌的名字，也不是人壽經紀，而是我們的大嫂，經常面帶微笑的大嫂。

她不但時時面帶微笑，而且真是一位非常上相的人，因為我所看過每一張相片上的她，永遠都是那麼的美麗。

李虎是一位會計師，而南屏在紐約人壽所受的財務管理訓練，使她與李虎成了最佳的搭檔，他們會計師事務所的業務蒸蒸日上。他們的兩個小孩也是相當的出色，女兒更是年紀輕輕的就由醫學院畢業，在洛杉磯懸壺濟世。

近十多年來我們在灣區的幾位徐匯同學，總會在秋天找一處AirBnB去共渡一個週末，在那裡大家放下工作與生活的煩惱，愉快的將自己再放回學生時代，重享純真的幸福。而南屏總能想出許多點子，讓那個週末過得更開心。

我記得幾年前去他們家的時候，南屏拿出兩雙拖鞋，內人驚奇地發現有一雙拖鞋上面竟然繡著她的名字「Sonya」，而且是南屏自己繡上去的，當時她笑著表示，以後去他們家就有專屬的拖鞋了，這種貼心的表現是此生不會忘懷的。

就在我認為李虎一家永遠都是那麼美好的時候，手機上傳來了噩耗，南屏因為心臟手術失敗而往生。當內人知道這個消息時，竟然當場大哭，一直地在問我「怎麼會這樣？」

其實那是個沒有答案的問題，也是不需要去尋找答案的問題。在人生的路途上，南屏提前離去，並不是她的選擇，而是上蒼的安排，而我們永遠不會知道這個安排的邏輯。但我們卻會慶幸，她曾參與我們的人生，並讓我們的生活中增加了許多歡笑。

南屏此次大去，是天人永隔，我們不會再有機會見到她美麗的微笑，只有希望能有機會在夢中能再見面。

南屏，一路好走。

Nan Ping was such a positive person with a passion for life and full of vitality. I can't believe it and feel so sorry for her and her family. But I believe that she will still live seriously, contentedly and happily in God's house.

My condolences to Nan-Ping's family. I remember when I was joining Nan-Ping for our first prenatal class in 1987 like it was just yesterday.

Nan-Ping was a very good and dear friend to me ever since. She was so smart, sweet, and funny. I miss her deeply in my heart and hearing her voice and laugh.
