Nan's obituary
A graduate of Carmel High School, Nan attended Indiana University where she earned a degree in English Literature in 1972. She spent most of her career working for various iterations of Indiana Bell/AT&T before retiring in 2008. She most enjoyed spending time with her daughters and her dogs, cooking, traveling, reading, and watching British television shows. She was a member of the IU Alumni Association and donated to many causes and charities.
In addition to her rescue dog Maizie, Nan is survived by her devoted daughters Jeanne Denaro (Brian Russell) of Long Island, and Mel Denaro (Tom Roederer) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her eldest sister Nancy Fish, and her nieces Lynetta Fish and Mari Lyn (Eddie) Ortiz, Deanna Bolton, Monet (Chris) Pieper, and Kathryn Healy. She also leaves behind her dearest friend Shawn (Ken) Strong.
According to Nan's wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity that is near and dear to your heart - the family suggests the Indiana Wind Symphony or WFYI (and the British Telly Club).
