Nadine Kathryn Pierce, 90, of Orcutt, California, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home in Orcutt, CA.

She had been a homemaker. She worked with her husband at their business, Pierce’s Sewing Machine and Vacuum Sales and Service. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in De Soto. She enjoyed reading books, doing puzzles, working in the yard and calling her friends.

Nadine was born September 22, 1933 in McFarland, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Anna (Gnadt) Muckenthaler.

She married Robert Pierce on December 26, 1954 in McFarland, KS and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2000.

Nadine is survived by her children – Pamela (Pierce) Taylor of Orcutt, CA, Robert Kevin Pierce and wife Anita of Cabot, Arkansas, and Alan Wayne Pierce of Orcutt, CA, all formerly of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Robert William Pierce, son – David Paul Pierce, step daughter – Rochetta (Pierce) Keller, two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor Paul Copeland officiating.

Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.

Friends may make memorials to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
