Myrna's obituary

Myrna Macabuhay Inciong, the beloved matriarch of the Inciong Family, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 82. Myrna was born on May 26, 1939 to Vicente and Maria (Secreto) Macabuhay of Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. She is the eldest of five followed by her siblings, Erlinda, Ronolfo, Evelyn, and Michael Roel.

She attended high school at Our Lady of Caysasay Academy in Taal, Batangas and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Santo Tomas with a major in English and Journalism. Upon graduation, Myrna worked at the Santa Isabel College in Manila, Philippines where she taught History and Journalism. Subsequently, she became Executive Secretary to the President at Pacific Office Machines in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines.

In late October of 1965, Myrna met Rogelio Inciong of Mataas Na Kahoy, Batangas, who received his juris doctor degree from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. After a swift 126 days whirlwind romance, they married in March of the following year and eventually settled in the community of BF Homes in the city of Las Pinas where they raised their four children.

In 1984, Myrna and Rollie made the decision to migrate to the U.S. where Myrna’s parents and all of her siblings were already living. They resided in the West Covina/Rowland Heights areas of Southern California for many years until their relocation to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1996. Among Myrna’s professional endeavors are working as an Assistant to her sister Erlinda at Southern California Bonding Service, and as a Legal Secretary at Gilbert, Kelly, Crowley & Jennett, LLP while in California. In Las Vegas, she worked as a Secretary at Bally’s Resort & Casino and later was a Legal Secretary at Barker, Brown, Busby, Chrisman & Thomas, P.C. until her retirement.

To all who knew her, Myrna was a ray of sunshine. She had a happy disposition and a contagious laughter. Never hesitating to help, she was known for her loving heart and generous nature. She valued friendships and would go through great lengths to preserve and nurture such relationships as evidenced by the army of lifelong friends now mourning her passing. A devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Myrna would often say that her family is her greatest blessing. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones and spent her days caring for her family. A true follower of Christ, Myrna’s faith never faltered and devoted her life to being a great servant of the Lord. Her presence will truly be missed.

Myrna is survived by her husband, Rollie, daughters Mabel, Vivien, Tricia, and son Jason; grandchildren Zarah, Alyssa, Sebastian, Tristan, Elijah, Nina, Jared, Isabella, and Jacob; Children In-Law, John, Jose, Michael, and Jinky as well as siblings Linda, Ronnie, Len, and Roel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Maria Macabuhay.

Rest in Eternal Peace.
