Mimi's obituary
Myriam (Mimi) Aracely Cooke (nee Celada), 52, suddenly passed away on March 7, 2024. Mimi was born on November 11, 1971 to Marco and Maria Celada in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She was one of three children: Marco and Roberto. After graduating from Centauri High School in La Jara, Colorado in 1990, she attended the University of Colorado where she met her future husband, John Cooke. She went on to have three children: John, Ana, and Bethany. Her children were her pride and joy.
As a young woman, Mimi participated in the events of World Youth Day and Saint Pope John Paul II’s visit to Colorado in 1993.
Her departure comes as a great shock and caused a deep wound to her family and countless others who loved her. She will be remembered by her kindness and contagious smile.
