This is not where I wanted to find my Mimi. 

To her family, I am very sorry.  I thought she just needed some time because of the things I did to try to get her away. She was so deserving of love, and I can't think of a time she ever failed to be a friend to me. I should have checked in harder, sooner. I heard she was doing well, and I thought we'll maybe she doesn't want to hear from me because I was out of line in my frustration with wanting her to leave. To find her like this, I am wishing really hard that I had held on tight, and I will forever be sorry and disappointed that I didn't. 

Mimi was good to me. I couldn't help but look up to her and  hope to be more like her because of her infectious , fun, genuinely caring spirit, her smiley, positive way she showed me encouragement and how to take life's punches with some laughter. She was funny and wise. She made my life better. She can't be forgotten, and she will definitely be missed. 

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Mimi's passing.

She was a wonderful person. I have very fond memories of our friendship.
