Myra treasured her time at the Jersey shore where she learned to sail and waterski on the Metedeconk River and Barneget Bay. She gave often to Save Barneget Bay so that future generations can continue to enjoy it as much as she did throughout her life. Upon her husband's death, the Harry W. Linde Honors Program Research Fellowship was established to provide support for an Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME) student to perform research at Northwestern during the summer before matriculating to medical school. Myra also worked for the HPME for many years. She loved meeting students and helping them on their journeys to becoming doctors. Myra placed a high value on education; this fellowship was near and dear to her heart because it both honors her husband and supports students.

As much as Myra loved the Jersey shore, she also loved her Delta Gamma sisters whom she met when she attended Cornell. Even after graduating, when they were spread out across the country, they kept in touch through letters and visits, and in later years, by email and phone calls. They were a true sisterhood - there for each other through all of life's ups and downs. Myra would be thrilled to know that donations in her name support the academic and professional goals of Delta Gamma students, as well as the other worthy causes that the Delta Gamma Foundation supports.
