Myles's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myles Kalebic, who was born on August 26, 1981, and left us too soon on June 23, 2023. A man of many talents and a heart full of kindness, Myles was known for his helpful, mechanically inclined, outgoing personality, and exceptional culinary skills.
Myles was a beloved son, brother, and father, who is survived by his son Jionni Kalebic, his step-children Nicole Adcock and Juliana Saeger, his sister Tammi Thorpe, his brother Jason Kalebic, and his nephew Axel Burns. In 2012, he moved to Hammond, IN, where he had his son, the apple of his eye, and his greatest legacy.
One could often find Myles in the garage, tinkering with various things or fixing his motorcycle—a testament to his deep-seated passion for mechanical work. His professional life was marked by a commendable dedication to his work as a mover and a mechanic.
With a love for tacos, motorcycles, and Icehouse, Myles also took pleasure in visiting local Mexican restaurants and cooking meals for his family. His dream of becoming a chef reflected his talent and passion for cooking.
Myles found joy in simple things—his favorite color green, beloved movies including Jeff Dunham comedy specials and Deadpool—adding a touch of vibrancy to his life. He lived by the lesson, "if it's not broke don't fix it, or tear it apart to see how it works" —a mantra that resonated with his mechanical mind.
Myles will be fondly remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand to friends and family, a trait that earned him the love and respect of many. Despite his personal battles, Myles will always be remembered for the light he brought to the lives of those around him.
In losing Myles, we have lost not only a loving family member and friend, but also a remarkable individual who lived his life with a touch of humor, a zest for life, and unwavering dedication. His legacy will continue to live through his son, Jionni, his love for which knew no bounds.
He was taken from us way too soon, but his memories will remain in our hearts forever. Myles Kalebic will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
