• What is your mission?

  Founded in 2014, One Tree Planted Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a global mission to reforest our planet, provide education and awareness on the importance of trees in our ecosystem, and inspire engagement and action. We are action-oriented and seek to have impact through quality and community-driven tree planting projects throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.

• How are donations used?

  With a business model of One Dollar plants One Tree, we provide our donors the opportunity to easily plant any number of trees, where they choose, with full transparency. Your donation is directed to a global reforestation project that is in need of funding, or to build the capacity of our planting partners, support overhead and to further the mission of the organization.

• What can be done with a $100 donation?

  $100 can plant 100 trees around the world.

• What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?

  One Tree Planted strives to be as transparent as possible with its donors. We thank our donors via email or mail, depending on their preference, and update our donors on the impact of their donation through regular emails and annual project reports. We also thank our donors in a special way when they reach tree planting milestones.

• What is the history of your organization?

  One Tree Planted engages and impacts populations all over the world. In just nine years, we have managed to get over 100 million trees in the ground through new and established relationships with over 463 planting partners. In 2022 alone, we planted over 52 million trees within 327 planting projects in 74 countries across six regions and have potentially sequestered more than 10 million tons of carbon over the next 20 years. Through these projects, we helped to create 2,438 jobs, supported 50,582 farming families, and engaged over 32,000 volunteers to restore 97,769 hectares of land. In 2022, One Tree Planted coordinated 468 tree planting events worldwide and engaged and empowered over 26,254 women in developing countries. Our T.R.E.E.S. (Teaching Reforestation, Environmental Engagement, and Sustainability) program grew enormously in 2022, adding 355 new classroom registrations. By collaborating with the World Resources Institute, The Jane Goodall Institute, and Rainforest Alliance, One Tree Planted has been able to maximize its impact with innovative solutions to restore the planet.
