I first knew Murray as a resident and intern at Vanderbilt. He later became our family physician until he gave up private practice to devote his time to drug rehabilitation. Even then I consulted with him concerning medical issues. He was always patient to listen and offer his advice. My thoughts and prayers to his family during this time of loss.

Dr. Smith was my Mother's doctor for years. Her health problem were complicated but Dr. Smith always persevered . He was always so encouraging to our family. So thanks to him we enjoyed many more years with her than we had even hoped for. He was a wonderful doctor and always a gentleman. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing but know he is at peace. Praying for comfort for the family during this difficult time.
