Murphy's obituary
When loved ones go, its never easy for our hearts to mend.
That time you had together may be past and it may fade
But never will the memory leave of all the fun you made:
Big brother Josh, Sweet Sister O, and Murphy Dog made three;
Most adventurous companions, shining stars for all to see!
No four-legged friend there ever was, that begged with sadder eyes,
Nor barked as fierce at enemies, or snapped at random flies.
Remember when he chased and played? his bark? his playful growl?
Was it not Murph, when the moon was full, that made that wonderous howl?
He ran so fast, he jumped so high- he thought that he had wings
And though he tried his very best, old Murphy could not sing.
And now he’s gone. Gone home to God, to play in heavens fields
He’ll be chasing Saints and Angels, playing fetch with harp and shield.
Someday when youre old and gray, and God calls you home to Him-
Youll find a friend there waiting, with a tail, and happy grin.
