After a difficult battle with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease , Muriel Santanello passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Springfield, MA to Mary Conlon and Arthur Bouvier, Muriel was described as a bundle of laughter and love. Muriel met Gabriel Santanello at Barn Furniture where they both worked in East Longmeadow, MA, and immediately fell in love. They went on to be married for 17 and a half years and had one daughter together.

Muriel was a fiercely dedicated, strong, and loyal mother, raising an equally dedicated, strong, loyal, and independent daughter. Muriel was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Muriel as a mother and grandmother.

Muriel was predeceased by her father, Arthur Bouvier, mother Mary Conlon Bouvier, her sister Martha Charter, her brother Arthur Bouvier Jr., and her husband Gabriel Santanello. She leaves behind her daughter Teresa Mary Light, her Grandchildren Gabriel Joseph Light (wife Krystal Light), William Roderic Light, Amanda Mary Light (wife Elizabeth Walters), and Elizabeth Ann Webb (husband Michael Webb), as well as her Great-Grandchildren Christopher Ryan Light-Birge, Rocco Davis Light, Gabrielle Grace Light, Gabriel Brody Light, Kennli Johnson, Jamison Michael Webb, Carter Steven Webb, Gabriele Kennedi Light, Scarlett Elizabeth Webb, and Noah Alexander Light. Services will be held at Palms West Funeral and Crematory on April 12, 2024 with a viewing from 12 noon to 1 PM, and the funeral from 1 PM to 2 PM.
