Muhammad Afzal Chaudhary passed away at 3:30 pm on April 28, 2025, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 67.

Born on October 20, 1957, in Faisalabad, Pakistan, Muhammad was one of seven siblings. In 1980, he immigrated to the United States at the request of his father hoping that his beloved son could have a better life in America.  Destiny brought him and settled him in Sacramento, California. There, he became a pioneering figure within the local Pakistani community.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Muhammad established himself as one of the first Pakistani businessmen in his circle and region at the young age of 27. He operated a successful Ice cream Truck business at its peak had 5 operational trucks selling record amounts of ice cream everyday. His business ventures led him to Coalinga, California, where he operated a gasoline station for ten years. Afterward, he returned to Sacramento, where he continued to reside until his passing.

Muhammad’s life journey from Faisalabad to Sacramento was marked by determination and perseverance. His achievements served as an inspiration to many within his community who followed in his footsteps.

He is survived by his wife, Munawar Afzal; his five children: Ateeq, Saira, Sumra, Ayesha and Hamza Afzal; and three grandchildren: Ayaan, Shahzain, and Ibrahim. He is also remembered by his nieces and nephews across the Sacramento region, including Rio Linda and Elk Grove, as well as in Coalinga, California also deeply loved and remembered by his family in Pakistan especially his cousins from 1 chaak.
