Background
Jyoti was not only an active member of the Rotary Club of St. Louis Civilians, serving as morale leader, Fundraising Chair, Social Chair, and Membership Liaison, but he took every opportunity to motivate others to community service through the example of his own life. In 2018, after Jyoti's mother passed, he founded The Banu Project, a community of friends and family interested in creating meaningful impacts in the lives of Bangladeshi women and girls by meeting their immediate healthcare, educational, and economic needs. In true Jyoti fashion, he wanted none of the credit for The Banu Project and just wanted an honest medium through which he could help people in need.
The Rotary Club of St. Louis Civilians is partnering with The Banu Project to raise money for a special initiative in Jyoti's honor. It was Jyoti's lifelong dream to build a school to provide educational access and support for girls who are often denied schooling due to their economic circumstances in his home country of Bangladesh and we are going to see to it that we are able to realize that dream to any degree possible. Please consider giving to continue the legacy of Jyoti's love and commitment to helping others.
