Mosentho's obituary

Mosentho Jean

April 19, 1956 – February 12, 2026

Mosentho Jean departed this life on February 12, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on April 19, 1956, he lived a life marked by strength, discipline, and steadfast devotion to his family.

He was a hardworking and proud man who believed in responsibility, structure, and providing for those he loved. He carried himself with dignity and led by example, teaching through action more than words.

Mosentho showed his love in a simple but powerful way. He called faithfully and consistently, checking on his children, his siblings, and those he held close to his heart. That was how he cared. His daily calls and his advice about life were worth more than anything. Through those conversations, he offered guidance, accountability, and reassurance, making sure the people he loved were never without direction or support.

He was the loving father of Junior Jean, Samuel Jean, Emmanuel Jean, and Marie Yolande Jean.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Belec Jean and Suzette Jean.

He is survived by his companion, Mylande Plaisir; his siblings, Marianette Jean Gourdet, Yanique Pierre-Fils, Chantalle Jean, and Marguy Jean; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He will be remembered for his discipline, his steady presence, and the quiet but powerful way he loved those around him.
