Background
Morris was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer a little over a month and a half ago. Doctors told Morris and his family he had 6 months to a year to live and that the only treatment available was Chemo. Big Moe was not a believer in Chemo as he believed it was exactly what it is poison. His oncologist however, told Morris' daughter that his decision not to partake in the Chemo treatment was probably the best as she believed it probably would cause more harm than good. The time left with his family was cut short. He was in and out of the hospital with his daughter by his side the whole time. Morris did not have time to prepare for his own funeral expenses nor could he have afforded it as his was on a fixed income. His children did not have time or the money to obtain any insurance as he would have more than likely would have been denied due to his pre existing condition. His family was not prepared as to just how much his cremation expenses would be and they are not in any position financially capable of paying the funeral home the expenses. Some contributions have trickled in but the money is no where near the total cost. The funeral home will not cremate the body without receiving the total cost of the funeral. All donations will be used to help the Hendricks family pay for their loved one's funeral expenses. Any donations over the goal amount will help to cover Mr Hendricks final medical expenses and if any is left over his granddaughter Emi has requested that the funds go to a child diagnosed with can and his or her family that is in Children's Hospital of the Kings and Daughters in Norfolk, VA to help them with expenses as her grandfather loved children and would not want them to suffer due to financial burdens on their parents. Please help any way you can with our campaign to help the Hendricks family and to help a child suffering from cancer.
