Morgan's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Morgan "Mo" Hertz, who died on March 11, 2026. Born on March 8, 1989, Morgan lived a life filled with passion for creativity, and love for their friends and chosen family. They were an extraordinary individual; caring, thoughtful, and considerate.
Morgan had a deep fondness for the earth and sustainability efforts, often spending their time in community gardens and walking in nature. Crafting too was a cherished pastime - particularly spinning yarn and yarn crafts.
Their causes were their people; Morgan unfortunately often felt like a burden to those they loved and who loved them, leading to their social isolation at the end of their life. They lived by the principles of maintaining healthy boundaries and prioritizing self-care, coupled with a profound love for their loved ones. They taught us that genuine care doesn't compromise one's self, and that it is in fact in caring for oneself that one improves one's capacity to love externally.
Morgan's legacy is an enduring one, rooted in their love for the earth and sustainability, artistic and creative endeavors, and for their friends and chosen family.
As a non-religious person, Morgan did not specifically endorse a belief in a specific afterlife. May their memory serve for a blessing, for artistic inspiration, and a reminder to be in community authentically without apology.
