Karen and Paul,
I have so many incredible memories of Monte. He was a true friend to me growing up at Broadway. He had such a beautiful and kind heart. My fondest memory of him was his appearance at my brother’s funeral, where he made sure he showed up to show his love and support for his friend. It was well after high school (we still kept in touch and as a single mother he looked in on me) and he made sure I knew he was there for me. We often hung out and just talked for hours. I miss those times with him. He was the funniest person I ever knew and brought so much joy to my life at times when I truly needed it!
I lost touch with him, and had trouble finding him. I’m sad to hear of this news and of your loss. It is truly a loss for us all. He will always be someone special in my life-someone I will never forget.

Karen and Paul, Add our names to the list of those who mourn with you over the loss of your precious son. Monte was a beautiful child and a handsome, kind and sensitive young man. We have many fond memories of him being in our home and at church. Our last time to see him was in Atlanta when he came to comfort us when we lost Paul. We will never forget the love he expressed to us and we certainly will never forget him. We look forward to that wonderful day when we will never have to say goodbye. So sorry to hear of the passing of Monte. I remember growing up thinking of him and Beth as the "big kids" who were so cool and watching out for all of us, littles. Thinking of all of you and the great childhood that we all were fortunate to experience growing up in a safe place full of love and laughter and some crazy neighborhood parades. I’m so sorry for your loss. I went to elementary through high school with Monte and have the best memories of him; he was well-liked and a friend to all.

I am so sorry to hear of Monte's death. I will always remember his gentle spirit and how he shared his fort with us, and my freshman year prom double date with him! May you be comforted by all of these posts during this difficult time.

Paul and Karen, I am so saddened to hear about Monte. It still puts a smile on my face thinking about how mad he would get at me when I was little and called him Monkey because I couldn’t say Monte. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his boys.

Paul and Karen, I am so very sorry for your loss. Trying to find words, but there aren't any. Monte had one of the best smiles around. His many, many old friends from youth group days are remembering him fondly and grieving his passing today.
