Background
Monique leaves behind 3 children that loved their mother very much. Her oldest a 18 yr old son, a 16 yr old daughter an finally her youngest a 11 yr old daughter. Monique loved her kids more than life itself, just as her kids loved their mother.
Unfortunately a few years ago Monique lost her kids to the system . An ex boyfriend got Monique addicted to drugs and is the reason she lost her kids.. Still Monique kept in touch with her kids weekly and tried to keep the connection with them which she did do . She was fortunate that the foster family of her youngest came to love Monique which made it nice for her and her daughter. A friend of Moniques that stepped up and took her other2 kids and accepted them as her own, made it possible for Monique to keep her relationship with them. It worked out under the circumstances for all of them.
With Monique's addiction came guilt for what she had done to her kids. She became depressed and also had lost respect for herself over again what she did to the kids. This only caused her to self sabotage herself and fueled her addiction even more. She was watching herself continue to make things worse with this addiction, this addiction that she grew to hate so much yet could not stop. She finally had enough and left her ex that started her addiction. She struggled with herself and her addiction even after the split up . Even through all of that her love for her kids never stopped nor did their love for her.
Then in the fall of 2023 I ran into a old friend of mine that I hadn't seen in years, It was Monique . I invited her over and we talked for hours, well it ended up being a relationship in which we fell in love , a perfect match . Even though I knew about her struggles I accepted her as I could see that she just needed someone to love her , to choose her , flaws and all. Monique was happy that someone was willing to do that for her.
This is when Monique told me that life was good for her and made it bearable to want to live because her guilt of losing the kids made it where she didn't want to live sometimes. Monique after a month of our relationship decided on her own that she wanted her addiction to be done . She went through a week an a half of detox and withdrawls and at the end of it came out the person I remembered from years ago and she was more beautiful than I remembered. Life was good for Monique just what she deserved after all the darkness from her past few years. Her relationships with the kids was the best it had been in years due to her being clean . Well a couple of months went by and she relapsed with more guilt and shame this time for letting the kids down again and now she felt the same because she let me down and the damage it did to the thrust in our relationship. Again she did the detox and the withdrawals for a week and a half for all of us . She was really so strong and amazing to me . Even though Monique struggled with her addiction our entire relationship her love for her kids never left and her kids loved her regardless.
Well February 8th Monique relapsed for the last time . Her addiction that she hated so much that brought her so much heartache , depression and shame got the best of her . Monique overdosed and never came to . They lost her pulse in the ambulance and she flatlined on the way to the hospital, they gave her cpr and was breathing for her until they got to the hospital. Upon arriving they put her on life support until she stabilized . Her kids with her completely devastated by her side . She stayed on life support for 10 days with her kids there daily along with their foster parents and myself. We all loved her tremendously even through her addiction. After numerous test it was determined she was brain dead and declared deceased on the 16th. Monique and the truly beautiful soul that she had wanted to be a organ donor. So they kept her on life support to keep her organs alive until the process of finding recipients was complete. Well the 18th of February they found 4 people that needed organs. Monique was able to give new life to someone that needed a heart, she saved another that was in need of a liver , and 2 more people that was needing a kidney . She was truly a beautiful person .
With all of us there by her side on the 18th of February Monique took her final breathe and passed on . Her kids with so many tears rolling from their eyes now have lost the mother they loved so dearly for good . It broke my heart seeing her kids with so much pain not understanding why their mother is gone . With Monique not having insurance or anything , she had no way of taking care of the expenses she has left behind . I am trying to raise what we need to fulfill these kids wishes . They want her cremated so that they can forever have Monique with them, this is going to cost for direct cremation, death certs, and permits $2333 . I would like for them to each have personalized urns with Moniques picture on them which will be around $239 a piece . They want to have a celebration of life for her which i figure to be somewhere between $500-$750 . If we can give this to these kids that have been through so much, it would be amazing. These kids are good kids and I want more than anything for their mother to be taken care of the way the want her taken care of so they can rest knowing she was . Contribute
