It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Monica Lopez, who was lovingly called "Mon" by her friends and family. Monica was born on February 23, 1982, and left this world far too soon on April 19, 2023. She is survived by her husband Cesar Lopez, Daughter Izabella Lopez, father Camerino Marquez,  sister Veronica Lopez, and her beloved dog Mia as well as many extended family members,  who held a special place in Monica's heart. 

A Celebration of Life for Monica will be held on May 21, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church at 7820 Fox road, In Hughson Ca.  All those who knew and loved Monica are invited to gather and remember the remarkable woman she was. 

Monica's defining traits were her infectious laugh, love for her family and friends and shaking her bom bom’s.  She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help others. As a loving mother, one of her proudest accomplishments was raising her daughter, Izabella, into the focused, smart, responsible, respectful, and driven woman she is today. Monica's love for Izzy was unparalleled, and she was immensely proud of the person her daughter had become.

Monica's legacy will be one of kindness and generosity. Though she was taken from us far too soon, her imprint on the world and the lives of those who knew her will never fade. In honoring Monica's memory, we can all strive to remember and cherish the wonderful memories we shared with her. Until we meet again, Monica, you will be missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know you.
