In October of 2014, Monica’s world changed overnight with an unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 inoperable breast cancer. At just 33 years old, she began the fight of her life—a battle she waged with fierce determination, endless grace, and an unwavering love for her daughter, Meagan. Over the last 11 years, Monica endured countless treatments, setbacks, and small victories, always holding onto hope and faith even in the face of unimaginable odds.
Today, we find ourselves in a tender and painful moment. The cancer has now metastasized to her brain and spine, and the doctors have shared that treatment is no longer an option. Their focus is now on ensuring Monica is surrounded by peace, comfort, and dignity as she transitions.
In the midst of this emotional time, we’ve created this memorial fund to support the immediate and long-term needs of Monica’s family. Your contributions will help cover the costs of her internment and final arrangements, allowing loved ones to honor her life without the added weight of financial strain. Additionally, this fund will serve as a nest egg for Meagan—offering her a measure of stability and support as she grieves and begins to rebuild life without her mother’s physical presence.
