Monica was a very special person.  I will miss her smile and energy!  All my best to her friends and family!   Karla Johnson
I didn’t know Monica on a personal level but she was a client of mine in her role at the City of St. Louis. I came to appreciate Monica’s passion and devotion to the City’s employees who she took care of. Monica cared deeply about every single City employee and their healthcare benefit and she worked tirelessly to support them. She was truly an inspiration.
In response to "What did you learn from Monica?"

My sincerest condolences to Monica’s family.

I only knew Monica from our association on SLMPD. From the time she started and up to recently she was always looking after, not only me, but ever officer on the Department.

She will be greatly missed.

Always enjoyed talking with Monica.    She was a valued member of our condo community, and I will miss her.
Monica was a career public servant who was extremely knowledgeable, caring, and ethical. She was also a good friend and mentor to those of us who had that privilege. Her wit, grace, and candor will be missed.
My condolences to Monica's Family.  Monica was a very nice person to work with.  She was definitely a classy and sassy lady.  She will be greatly missed.
I knew Monica personally since September of 2013. She was a truly delightful lady, very bright, funny, and unfailingly insightful. She was a wonderful employee advocate and a New Yorker to the core. She will be sorely missed.
Monica was definitely a classy lady. I had the honor and privilege of working under her leadership for the past 2 1/2 years. I will truly miss her sassy wit and caring nature. She genuinely cared about the City of St. Louis and its employees. She was truly one of the best!
