December 2019, Ish and I decided to drive to CPT and stopped in East London to have lunch with Monde. We had so much together that we ended up spending the night in East London

Monde, a man of integrity and focused determination since our student political activism at Rhodes University 39 years ago. These characteristics of this wonderful man continued in our adult life in East London and Pretoria. As his friends we had a distressing time in past 2 months as he was fighting for his life in hospital.
