Mohamed's obituary

Mohamed H. Tarifi, born December 28th, 1943, passed away on July 5th, 2024, at the age of eighty. He is survived by his three beloved sons, David Tarifi, Daniel Tarifi and Noah Tarifi. He was the proud Grandpa of Logan, Tinsley, and Mia Tarifi.

Mohamed was a man of many passions both intellectually and athletically. He has a constant thirst for knowledge and never-ending curiosity.

Mo Tarifi was a serious and dedicated student from an early age entering college at 16 years old, graduating from the University of Cairo with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He went on to complete his Master’s in Environmental Science and Engineering at Northwesten University. His constant thirst to further his knowledge led him to complete his Master’s in Business and a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering. He was a prolific speaker presenting many papers on sustainable development and environmental management. During his retirement he remained ever curious always researching complex topics and problems leading him to apply for 6 patents in the field of water and air purification.

When a topic came up with friends or family where he felt he was not an expert you could fully expect a fully researched well thought follow up discussion upon your next get together.

In his younger years when he was not working or studying he was known to being a serious competitor on the tennis court winning many Men's Tennis Championships at the Paugussett Club in Orange Ct.

His legacy is one of love, dedication and relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence. Mo will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and contributions will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
